  • Personal information is never sold or rented
  • Encrypted checkout and restricted internal access
  • Unsubscribe from update emails at any time

Data security

Encrypted checkout, monitored hosting and restricted staff access.

Your control

Access, correct or delete your data, and unsubscribe from email.

1. Information collection and use

AltherixLabs (hereafter “AltherixLabs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates altherixlabs.com and is the sole owner of the information collected on this website. We collect personal information that you provide to us directly through account registration, the age confirmation, checkout, the contact form, update sign ups and email.

We use this information to confirm that you are eligible to purchase, to process, validate and ship your orders, to link each order to the lot numbers supplied so the matching Certificate of Analysis can be found, and to respond to your questions. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we share it only as described in this policy.

2. Account and age confirmation

Our compounds are supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only, and the store is open only to adults aged 21 and over who confirm they are purchasing for lawful research purposes. To apply this, we may collect and record:

  • Your confirmation that you are 21 or older
  • Your acceptance of our research use terms, with the date and time it was given
  • Your organization, institution or laboratory affiliation, where you provide it

We keep this record to show that the confirmation took place. We may decline or cancel an order where the information provided is incomplete, inconsistent, or indicates that the purchase is not for research use.

3. Order and payment information

When you place an order, you provide contact and payment information, including:

  • Full name, email address and telephone number
  • Billing and shipping addresses within the United States
  • Payment details, entered on our payment provider’s secure form

Card details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored on our servers. We use order information for billing, fraud prevention, sales tax calculation, shipping and order support. If there is a problem with an order, or if we need to confirm details about a lot you received, we will use this information to contact you.

4. Lab reports and lot lookups

Certificates of Analysis are public pages. Opening one, from the QR code on a vial or from our COA library, does not require an account and does not ask for any personal information.

If you send us a lot number through the contact form or by email, we use it only to answer your question about that lot.

5. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. They fall into two groups:

  • Necessary cookies. These run the cart, checkout, account area, age confirmation and site security. They cannot be switched off, because the store does not work without them.
  • Analytics cookies. These help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Where we use them, they are optional and set only with your consent.

You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings, though blocking necessary cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt out of optional analytics where applicable law requires it.

6. Communications and email updates

We send service emails that relate to your account and orders, such as order confirmations, dispatch updates and tracking details. If you sign up for updates, or give consent at checkout, we may also email you about:

  • New compounds and restocks
  • Newly released lots and their Certificates of Analysis
  • Material updates to this privacy policy

Every update email carries an unsubscribe link, and we never sell or share your email address.

Note: unsubscribing from update emails does not stop essential order, account or legal communications.

7. Your rights and choices

You can unsubscribe from update emails at any time by using the link in any of those emails, or by contacting us. You may also contact us to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to the records we must keep for tax, accounting and legal purposes
  • Raise a concern about how your information is handled

Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, email us from the address linked to your account so we can verify it is you. You may also use an authorized agent where your state law allows it.

8. Security measures

We protect the information you submit both online and offline:

  • Online protection. Information is encrypted in transit using TLS, including at checkout. You can confirm this by checking that the address bar shows a padlock and the URL begins with “https”.
  • Offline protection. Access to personal information is restricted to the people who need it to process orders, provide support or meet legal obligations.
  • Hosting. Our website and store data are hosted on managed infrastructure with access controls and monitoring.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you where the law requires it.

9. Service providers

We use trusted service providers to run the store and complete your orders. These include our payment processor, shipping carriers, website hosting, email delivery, fraud screening and, where you allow it, analytics. Each receives only the information it needs to perform its service. The independent ISO/IEC 17025 laboratories that test our lots receive material samples only, never customer information.

These providers are not permitted to use your personal information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to a lawful request from a public authority, or to protect our rights, customers and business.

10. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. Order, payment and sales tax records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law, together with the lot numbers supplied on each order. The record of your age confirmation is kept for as long as your account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards. Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve your question. Email preferences are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

11. Age restriction

This website is intended only for adults aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe a person under 21 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Policy updates

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our services, or how we process information. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Where a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, for example by email or a notice on the website.
